About the Class:
This class is for the
pointe dancer who is beyond the school-age
studio classes, whether you've kept up with
pointe or perhaps haven't done pointe in a
while and want to pick it back up. Either
way this class will perfect and retrain the
student to be strong on pointe. We will
learn choreography, variations and also
perform in the Winter and Spring Shows. So
if you want that chance to perform on pointe
again, it's not too late!
About the Instructor: Jennifer Girtell has been singing and dancing since she was five years old. Ms. Girtell attended the Denver School of Performing Arts and just graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Dance. She has worked with artists such as David Parsons, Kim Neal Nofsinger, Katie Elliot, David Kapps, Chung-Fu Chang and Mellisa Corr. Jennifer has a strong passion for choreography and has staged many works at Colorado State University, Denver School of Performing Arts and the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival. Ms. Girtell teaches dance at the Colorado Academy of the Arts and is very excited to also be teaching here at Studio West Dance Center.
