Her Own Beat (for teen girls, ages 13-18)

Her Own Beat is a new class that Lotus Blossom has developed specifically for young women. This class combines the flexibility and body awareness of yoga, the beauty and muscle control of belly dance, with the freedom and creativity of free form. The class is designed to bring better body awareness to the dancer as well as help her become more comfortable in her body and the many different ways that it can move. It's a great class for dancers looking to improve their abilities. However, no dance or yoga experience is necessary as there is no right or wrong. All dancers learn to honor and move to Her Own Beat!

Dance Team/Poms (ages 6-11)

Dance Team/Poms is a new class that specifically targets young women who are interested in learning basic pom skills. Poms is a type of dance in which pompons are used to demonstrate precise and tight arm movements as well as technical dance skills. Turns, leaps, jumps, kickline, and jazz are all incorporated into poms. The class is also designed to give students who are interested in being on a school dance team a basic knowledge of tryout procedures. This class will allow dancers to get stronger, learn new skills, gain self-confidence, and enjoy themselves. (No prior dance experience is required).
