Dance & Poms Team (ages 9-17)

This class will be held on two Saturdays a month, starting in October 2011.  Ages 6-9 will meet from 10:30am-12pm.  Ages 10+ will meet from 1:00-3:00pm.  You can view/save/print the Poms schedule here.

The cost for this class will be $40 per month or $120 for fall semester (Oct-Dec) and $160 for spring semester (Feb-May).  An additional uniform fee will be required, info on the exact fee and due date are TBA.

DISCOUNT INFO:  This class can NOT be included in the discounted flat rate for 4 or more classes.

Poms/Dance team is a unique style of dance that accentuates precise and sharp arm movements and technique while holding pompons in hand. Jazz and Hip-Hop are the two styles that are demonstrated most in Pom routines This group of dancers will learn every aspect of Poms/Dance Team that there is to know. They will meet two Saturdays per month to learn technique, basic arm/hand movements, kickline, and multiple routines.

This group will perform at major events like the CSU Homecoming Parade, Eagles games, Colorado Ice games, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Fort Collins. Students who choose to participate in this club will be required to purchase uniforms and take at least one other SWDC class (preferably Jazz, Hip Hop, Stomp or the Poms Technique class). No prior dance experience is required.
